For me, MG Animation is an amazing subject and it is a fire-new material for me so I got quite a lot of troubles during the working time, but it was an exciting experience.This animation is very simple with just 15s, at first, I was thinking about the “Homeless Man” because that is the phenomenon struck me the most, there is a strong contradiction in my mind that I want to help them but I have no abilities, I want to give them money but the money is not my own but my parents’ and there is no right for me to do this kind of things, and I thought it could be some kind of “connection”, but time is limited and the struggle of the story will cost most fo my time so I change my mind and made an animation about “paper plane”
In my memory, I often fold paper planes with my friends and throw them at each other during the break, we even tried different paper and different shapes to make the paper planes fly farther and higher, so paper plane have long been a symbol of innocence and friendship for me and that is the “connection”. The character in my animation chases the paper plane hoping to touch it but he can never seem to catch up with it……Childhood playmates have long been disconnected and only left a memory in each other’s lives.
